Jersey City has a lot of great bars & restaurants with craft beer. However, almost all of it is downtown / Grove Street area but there are very limited options in the Heights, especially if you want craft beer.
Up on the Hill, it’s actually a craft beer wasteland.
In Union City, NJ there are actually ZERO craft beer bars. Most people looking for crafted beer head to Hoboken or to downtown JC.
