THE STORY

My wife Cara suggests we have a little brunch date. After naming off several places in our neighborhood, I suggest the Trailer Park Lounge. It’s not exactly brunch but it’s damn good. She agrees and we head on over. You read the site, so you know that the Trailer Park is one of our faves in NYC. Part lounge, part bar, part kitsch and all delicious.

THE BURGER
We started off with a “Paradise Hawaiian Style”which is “Mucho 3 kinds of rum, pineapple brandy & passion fruit juices. Served in a real pineapple; for two.” We watched as our very friendly server Chris, very carefully hollowed out a fresh pineapple and mixed up the drink. The pineapple was so fresh and the drink was really refreshing although had quite a kick. According to Cara, “the drink made me feel like we were on vacation.”

Knowing we’ve reviewed the place 3 other times on the site, I wanted to do something different for this review. This time, I ordered a turkey burger, especially after the recommendation from Chris. Well, I’m happy to report that the Trailer Park can do no wrong! Even the turkey burger is delicious, juicy and bursting with flavor. I didn’t regret not getting beef at all (OK maybe just a little) but I would definitely recommend it if you’re curious. Served up with some tasty mac and cheese and the best tater tots in New York City.

Much like the state of Virginia, the Trailer Park Lounge is for lovers.

  1. Cara says:

My cheeseburger was delicious … the meat had a great flavor and the cheese was perfectly melted. Of course, the best part were the tots — crispy and delicious! The macaroni and cheese was amazing — super creamy and loaded with cheese.
